Stephanie Mahon started writing professionally for The Irish Times at 17, before building a career in media in Ireland. On sabbatical in Italy, she worked at a crumbling castle for three years, helping create a garden that garnered coverage in Italian and international press, and was the subject of a TV documentary. Stephanie moved to the UK in 2008 to work on The English Garden, where she won two awards for garden writing. She edited the title for two years before becoming Editor of the Garden Design Journal in 2015. Stephanie also writes freelance for The Telegraph, The Guardian, The Sunday Times, Homes & Gardens and the National Trust, among others.
