As Director of Tisdall Associates, a Registered Practice of the Landscape Institute, Richard has worked in local government, development and Private Practice.  With a BSc (Hons) in Agricultural and Environmental Science and an M.Phil, in Landscape Design from Newcastle University, and a Master’s in Public Health from Liverpool University, he brings a unique perspective to the delivery of health promoting places and spaces. Richard contributed as a co-author to the Landscape Institute’s Position Statement “Public Health and Landscape; Creating Healthy Places” Having undertaken a detailed review of scientific research he has created the Parks for Health Toolkit. This allows the creation of health promoting Parks and Green Spaces, the development of Parks Health Strategies, and the integration of Parks within Primary Prevention, alongside Public Health and Social Prescribing.
