Amanda Patton is an award-winning garden designer who has created Show Gardens at Chelsea and Hampton Court as well as winning a number of industry awards including the SGD’s Planting Design award in 2012 and the Judges Award in 2013. Following four years at art college, she worked as a freelance illustrator for twenty years before turning to gardens nearly twenty years ago and is a Registered Member of the Society of Garden Designers and Member of the Garden Media Guild. She has lectured around the world including at the Lurie Garden in Chicago, and has contributed articles for magazines such as Homes and Gardens. She was a regular broadcaster on BBC Somerset for 8 years until moving to Sussex in 2012. Influenced by her artistic background, her work is a fusion of contemporary forms with a naturalistic planting style.
