Randle Siddeley - Siddeley Associates
My 35 Years as a Landscape Architect - Randle Siddeley, The Lord Kenilworth, draws on his long career in landscape design talking the listener through gardens he has himself created both large and small, town and country, British and international. What unites his projects is a desire to make gardens that suit both the landscape that surrounds them and the people who use them. He will show how achieving a strong core design is essential in order to then make valid and effective choices of materials, plants, trees, furniture, lighting and artworks. He will have advice for the wishing to design their own spectacular garden as well as recognising that gardens are for many people a chance to engage with nature and create an outdoors space that is both pleasing and personal. For over 37 years Randle has seen the happiness that gardens give and has been passionately interested in them from an early age and hopes to impart in this talk that passion.
