At LANDSCAPE in Battersea Park this September will be a pavilion of exhibitors from France. One such exhibitor is Catriona McLean who represents many of the France’s best known potteries manufacturing classic handmade terracotta vases, oil jars, pots and sculptural pieces not to mention other decorative terracotta garden ornaments.

Wayne Hart is currently one of a group of artists creating work for Art Cities & Landscape, a collaborative venture between the Maison de la Culture of Amiens and the Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk. His piece is exploring the use of Picard, one of the two languages that formed modern day French, and will be made in corten steel.

Britain's best-known gardener, Alan Titchmarsh, has joined forces with the RHS to reach out to the next generation of horticulturists. The RHS vice president launched the RHS Chelsea Centenary Appeal, with the aim of helping the charity highlight the breadth of opportunities that horticulture offers. “We must act now to make horticulture appeal to young people.”

Q Lawns turf growers have taken delivery of four new lorries in a bid to save costs, minimise environmental impact and improve services. All four trailers will be hauled by DAF XF105 460 ATe tractor units. These are currently the most eco-friendly DAF on the market. They comply with Euro 5 and EEV emissions standards and have some innovative engine features that make them exceptionally fuel efficient and cost effective.
Gaze Burvill work with landscape architects Robert Myers Associates, and were delighted when a project in Richmond came under discussion, to transform a rather empty, bland space into a lively public amenity. Robert wanted to place trees in the middle of a Square so he went to Gaze Burvill, who were already supplying the project seating. Gaze Burvill are part of the Steering Committee for LANDSCAPE 2013.

A grass seed mixture that has proven itself 'the comeback king' because of its resilience after being sprayed with potentially deadly glyphosate has provided a good solution for turf grower Eco Solutions. By spraying with a solution of glyphosate it kills 85% of the Poa but takes only the top growth of the emerging turf, producing new healthy blades within a few weeks. The finished product is a lush, hard wearing turf that is loved by landscaping contractors, large and small.
Jack Dunkley's Birchfield Nurseries used the Italian Job as their inspiration for the garden. SIMYRA limestone was used for the flooring in the garden and is one of the few beige stones that is frostproof at 2cm thick, ROCKPANELS were used for wall-cladding in between the hedge sections and echoed the rocky outcrops found in the Italian landscape.

TPA provides foundation for a simulated Train Derailment site, which is all set to put worldwide rescue experts to the test. TPA has provided heavy duty trackway for the unusual scene below which features a simulated train derailment, designed as an extensive training scenario for an Urban Search and Rescue training course at the UK's specialist site in Waddington, Lincolnshire

The Gardeners Guild is a national trade network that gives self-employed gardeners practical support by arranging access to services that are not normally available to individual gardeners. Their membership has come to include tree surgeons, landscapers and garden designers who also offer garden and grounds maintenance as part of their service.
