Marcus Barnett - Inside Out

Marcus Barnett is influenced both by modernist architecture and traditional English gardens. He has developed a reputation for crisp, modern, uncluttered designs that are sympathetic to their surroundings. His work blends the boundaries between indoors and out and his seminar will centre on how architecture and interior design should influence and inspire landscape design.

Bartlett Trees

Dr Glynn Percival is a plant physiologist, technical support specialist and manages the Bartlett Trees UK research laboratory. He has an active research and training program that focuses on many different aspect of tree care. Recent studies have included work on tree survival following transplanting, novel methods of pest and disease control and the effects of environmental stress upon tree physiology.

Harber Sundials

'Over the past ten years, David Harber has consolidated his position as a leading light in sundials. Coinciding with the renaissance of interest in the garden, he has pioneered the reinvigoration of a centuries old craft - and built up an international reputation for making both contemporary and classical sundials.'

Randle Siddeley

Randle began work alongside his father, interior designer John Siddeley. He came to realise that the shift to landscape design was not so vast: 'the external space is an extension of the internal living space, so they therefore must complement one another'. Randle has developed an enigmatic passion that projects boundless energy and drive for the creation of exceptional landscapes, we look forward to hearing him speak.

Simon Scott from Haddonstone Limited - Artficial or Natural Stone?

Simon Scott will be joining us at LANDSCAPE to discuss the effective use of ornament in the landscape and how artificial materials can replace natural to great effect.

Andrew Fisher Tomlin

The connection that Fisher Tomlin's gardens make with plants, nature and particularly the needs of the garden owner is an essential part of the design ethos. Perhaps this along with the sheer professionalism they take to landscaping is why they have been featured in all the major national newspapers and international magazines. This year, Andrew will be giving a seminar on 'Future Icons: New Plants and Gardens'.

Jonathan Denby - Gardening World Cup

The first ever Gardening World Cup competition took place in October 2010 in Japan. These competitions bring together countries from across the globe. Jonathan will talk about the process of application and the benefit of taking part in the Gardening World Cup. Using his experience and drawing on his own talent he will discuss what makes a garden stand out from the crowd.

Landscape Design in Russia

Svetlana Chizhova will join us to discuss the rich history of Russia's gardens and how its gardening and landscape design are developing and fascinating people. Chizhova will demonstrate many talented landscape architect's and designer's work in Russia from country estates and imperial parks to modern private gardens and social projects. Russia has a lot to offer.

Sally Storey - Design Director of John Cullen Lighting

Design Director of John Cullen Lighting and Lighting Design International, Sally Storey presents how to light a garden with the power of one 60 watts light bulb. She will explore the latest lighting design techniques using the latest energy efficient products to create a magical space at night across a range of different size and styles of gardens.

David Maeer of Marston & Langinger

As MD, David oversees all aspects day to day and believes in the combination of visionary design and exquisite craftsmanship. This is demonstrated in the breadth of their work that includes garden rooms, pavilions and poolhouses. He is keen that the company stays at the forefront of design capability employing the very best people to achieve this.

Jane Robbins Sculpture

Jane Robbins, who has previously been commissioned to sculpt famous names from the late gardener Percy Thrower to The Queen Mother, is bringing her unusual crystal-clear resin sculptures to LANDSCAPE 2012. Her work is sold throughout galleries in Shropshire and London, but it is her sculptures of angels that are most striking in their transparent material. They sit calmly in any garden.

Border Sundials

We are pleased to announce that Border Sundials, featured in the Home Section of the Sunday Times, will be exhibiting their elegant and accurate sundials at the 2012 show. Capel Tenison brings his brass sundials to Olympia and with them he brings a little of the history of time. We look forward to viewing Tenison's own version of the historic time teller!

Randle Siddeley will be speaking about his newly published book 'Garden'. Based on his 35 year career as a landscape architect, creating gardens large and small, both in the UK and abroad. The case studies in the book highlight the intention to create a seamless relationship between gardens and the surrounding landscape and the people who use and enjoy them.

Alexandra Denman Takes Part

Nic Fiddian Green is an accomplished and innovative equestrian sculptor. His huge bronze horses' heads have been displayed on The Trundle above Goodwood and at Marble Arch, becoming a much-loved London landmark. One of his extraordinary pieces will be displayed at the entrance to LANDSCAPE.
